Julian Donavonis an American police detective based in Los Angeles. He is a tall manat about 6ft 2" with a lean wiry build. Bad habits of smoking and drinking brought on by hisobsession to further his career have left him a single man. Aged at 29 his bristly stubble and neat combed hair make people perceive him as older. Carolina Corteauxis a widowed 32 year old woman with a mixed family history. Withan American father and French mother she is a hard character to place on first meeting. Despite being with Julian for 5 years in Los Angeles she always longed for the Parisianstreets she called home. Her jet black hair and often revealed long legs make her a sight tobehold from any man's point of view. Despite ambitious she has fallen into an unwillingcareer of stripping in bars. This is where she met Victor Tresay, her late husband who wasmurdered by a renowned drug dealer called Ruben Van de Merwe. Fearing for her own lifeshe has called her old flame, Julian to help her.
Ruben Van de Merweis the renowned drug dealer who killed Carolina's husband because he owed him money. Aged 45 he is in the prime of his villainous career, he is a talloverweight individual representing his greed. Ruthless in every sense of the word he hascontacts all across Europe. Born and living in Holland he has built somewhat of a safe house
around himself, protected by hit men, gangsters and an army of corrupt policemen he seemsvirtually untouchable.
